I have read all the Nancy Drew books growing up, played all the video games, etc. Nancy Drew is easily one of my favorite icons of all time and as such I was beyond excited for this show to release. If it wasn’t supposed to be Nancy Drew, it would be a great stand alone show. Would have been a great idea. But slapping the Nancy Drew theme to sell a completely different story... that’s just disrespectful. But let’s go through the list of things they changed: -Nancy and Ned are supposed to be in a long term committed relationship. Not booty calls. -Also, it’s Nick in the show instead of Ned. - Bess And George are supposed to be cousins. - Nancy has been best friends with Bess and George for YEARS. - Nancy doesn’t believe in ghosts. She figures out where they come from. - Daddy Carson Drew is supposed to be moral compass. - Hannah.. THEY COMPLETELY FORGOT HANNAH. - why not River Heights?? What was wrong with that setting? - also, Nancy and Ned aren’t criminals?? None of them are criminals? They solve the crimes not commit the crimes.
