the book is a starting point for novice writing teachers since it explores the fundamental issues in teaching academic writing to L2 students. Nonetheless, it has a minor problem that is the topics presented are essential, but most of the discussions are not sufficient and concise. More extensive presentations to some topics would have been more beneficial. However, there are strong points found in the book. First, it provides enormous resources in every chapter for the whole topics covered in the book. Another strength is that it presents different opinions of scholars for every teaching approach, which gives the reader the chance to choose the appropriate way based on the context and setting. Moreover, it is written in a simple and clear language. This allows the reader to comprehend the ideas easily and saves time.
