This book bar far is one of my favorite childhood fantasies. A continuous thrill of adventures that move forward as the the characters learn and grow. Like most books written for children this one really allows the mind of a child to focus on imagination and the colorful characters with extraordinary personalities work together. Books like this are really great for bed time stories and family get togethers that keep the fun alive and sprout memories for the future. I really loved the creatures in the book such as the brownie and Basilisks. That part of the book really grab my attention exposing me to new vocabulary and sentence structures as a child. I learned alot just by reading this book when I was a kid and it allowed my mind to wonder freely. There isnt much art work in this book ,however, it does provide bits of hints that help bring together the story and explain what might the chapter talk about or point to the next adventure.
