The dark knight rises is the brooding and epic finale to Nolans Bat franchise. It is the seemingly visually compelling film in contrast to the dark knight. It helps give us the secluded shutdown bruce Wayne who has disappeared after Harvey dents death. This helps give bruce depth, and allows the audience to feel great pity and sorrow for our beloved hero. The new menacing villain, (bane) is a great addition to this film as he is played brilliantly by Tom Hardy, and completely outclasses batman in every way. We get to see batman finally meet his match!, and boy was it worth the wait. The sewer scene and final battle were some of the most epic choreographed fights I've ever seen. Gary old-man returns as Commissioner gordon and plays it fantastically, as we see he is very heart torn in the film as he has lived 8 years, on a lie about dents death and watched people believe Harvey was a great ' white knight '. With all the usual cast returning this film delivers some much needed closure to the epic Trilogy, and some emotionally satisfying scenes, how could it not be great?!

This film offers viewers a small insight into the world of Christopher Nolans clever storytelling and how he rebooted a thought to be dead franchise. This film shows batman at a point where he can be taken seriously and watching this film we forget its a superhero movie, from beginning to end this film is fantastic. Unlike other superhero movies it never seems to drop its story or realism in the final third, it simply gets better! With a outstanding cast and great director, how could this film not be great?!

The Dark Knight reveals a thrilling insight into the twisted yet brilliant mind of the Joker (Heath Ledger.) From start to finish the film keeps the audience feeling on constant edge and never fails to impress. Christopher Nolan worked seemingly hard on producing characters such as Batman (Christian Bale) to fulfil the story line and convey an intense atmosphere when coming face to face with the Joker. The film is truely an outstanding piece of work and commemorates what a hard working actor Heath Ledger was in showing full and utter dedication towards his role. The Dark Knight is a film in which brings together a hard working an brilliantly focused team of set actors that allow for it to be such a successful and interesting movie. (RIP HEATH LEDGER, A TRUE LEGEND.)
