Don't listen to the critics! It's a game adoption and of course its impossible to fit all the 4 games and the character development in to one movie. It's just the start and it clearly shows from the cast and the movie. It captures most of the emotions right and tries hard to be visually like the game ( that's good and bad). Some CGI effects were next level and highly enjoyable, while some were just lazy green screens. I'm a huge fan of the game and a movie buff, so a bit biased and I can't say the movie was perfect. But it definitely met my expectations and got all the broad strokes right. It's the right start to make more uncharted movies with the cast overtime! Go watch it on imax if you can, worth it.
