Absolutely terrible. Well-intentioned but terrible. Superman can be a great super hero story but he will only be as good as the story you decide to tell. To tell a story about a coming of age Clark Kent, who is still learning about himself, YOU MUST TELL THAT STORY FIRST! Instead, you wrote a story with three poorly written villains, each of whom should have killed Superman.
Was this movie written by someone who didn't read Superman comic but decided to learn about him by writing this terrible movie?!?!
