The video above came to me as a complete shock. I had no idea that schools in that terrible condition existed. I wonder if the problem has ever been solved. Every child regardless of economic class, race or residency should have an adequate and safe education. However the children in the neglected schools of south carolina are not privileged with such things. Between the outdated books, the Unsanitary classrooms/hallways and the fact that many teachers don't stick around but yet instead leave those economically deprived locations, I'm not sure how anyone could learn or even reach a point of success. It's as if no one cares, as if they are forgotten or outcast. It was very heart wrenching and brought sorrow upon me.
