Take it for what it is and stop nitpicking. It's a stepping stone. It's a very entertaining and well done movie. It follows a lot of the Mortal Kombat lore. And it has many Easter eggs and sets the stage for sequels and much more to come. Just because there isn't enough blood and gore doesn't mean there won't be tons more next time. This was a stepping stone for Mortal Kombat. Coming into Rated R. It eased it's way in flawlessly, if you ask me. It tells a good story and kept mr intrigued the whole way through. I think they're setting up for something big with Mortal Kombat and this was a sneak peak kind of showing.
