I'm not sure why everyone hated this multi-story movie. YES, the batman/redhood bit was an exact copy of the Batman: Under the Red Hood except it reduced the story from 1:30 to 20 minutes. If you've seen that film there is nothing new in this story. The reason I gave this 4/5 stars is because of the other 4 stories in this series. I loved the 15 min short about Adam Strange and the Phantom Stranger. DC should really include the Phantom Stranger in more stories as he generally acts as a guide to protagonists unless they really find themselves in trouble. He really supports free will and humans own decisions that decide their fate. The last story, Death, is a great short too. No super hero action but definitely a well thought out story and one that MIGHT bring a tear to the eye. You all will definitely be entertained (except for the Red Hood story). Well worth the $5 to rent.
