**I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU PLAY THIS GAME COMPLETELY BLIND. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.**
Length: ~12-13 Hours
The premise: You play as a man named Sissel who has just died. Now you're a ghost. You have to find out who killed you and why. That is all I will say. This game's plot has so many twists and turns that if i said any more than that, I'd be doing not only the game, but you as well a massive disservice.
There is no game like Ghost Trick. Period. Nearly everything this game does is brand new and unheard of in a video game before it's release. The gameplay is incredibly unique, fun and makes sense in the context of the story. The game does an excellent job of teaching you the ropes, but not being overly boring, and there are only 2 stages that i would consider bad, but even those are a bit of a stretch to call them as such. The music is phenomenal, with banger after banger to create an atmosphere like nothing else, tying this with the visuals as well, it compliments the music perfectly, not to mention the character animations, which are superbly smooth and some of the greatest on the DS. The characters are written very well and are never a bore to read through and the character interactions are also interesting to see. The story... Hoo boy that story. I'll get the main flaw out of the way first, the game is much too short, and as a result of that, some story beats aren't properly paced. Otherwise though? It's fantastic. There are so many twists and turns throughout it that the sheer existence of some characters is a massive spoiler, and it is a constant wave of highs with only a couple low points. There are so many things to love about this game, it's almost staggering. Play this game. It really is that good.
