Sometimes it's easy to shoot down films like this one. "As Above So Below" depends on the viewer's knowledge of alchemy, The Philosopher's Stone and the Paris catacombs. One cannot expect a film like this to spoon feed every bit of esoteric lore to work. It is a bit muddled 2/3 of the way in. Otherwise, it's entertaining and well-acted.
