Brilliant. Irish detective who's a former constable and won't give up his constable coat. Drinks. A lot. Nine hour and a half episodes made over 6 years. Time to develop character relationships and the mood of the Irish setting. Completely addicting and wonderful. Humor sprinkled in and pathos. One of my faovorite TV shows ever.

Among my top say 3 TV series of 50 years. Moving, sweet, fun, surprising, beautiful, mostly true and that cultural conflict of British and Greek, really, the same conflict most of us have being from one country in another, Greek and British style. The animals are delightful, the family grows right in front of our eyes and the tale of a widow raising her 4 children with little capital moving to Greece to live less expensively. The island is breathtakingly beautiful including the village, the acting is strong and the stories are interesting. The model home, the circus and romances, the bonds of family and the strains all lovingly culled from the books by the youngest with an added story line of mother's romances. I yearn to share this beauty, this pleasure, this fun and this moving unique family with all.

Stood the test of time. I can't believe this is a Garry Marshall movie. "I just thought you might be thirsty." The role reversal, the mothering, the wealth ad Hector Elizando beautifully present as reported sir. Casual romantic comedy with emotion and a lotta American fun. The rich portrayed along the lines of a 1930's movie. "I'm sitting." "I strayed." It gets a little loose around there but overall, this is whatcha call a romantic comedy with a beautiful parent streak in it and class struggle.

Sometimes there's beauty. There's movement toward each other. Tom Wilkinson, I can't think of anything I don't like him in. And fans of Sherlock will delight in Moriarty actually being a sweetheart. This isn't Shakespeare. To be upset with it cuz there's only a simple story like a flower is to be disappointed watching a flower open. There's moments, the bird for one thing and mainly the relationship between our main characters that makes my heart smile.

Just saw it. Now one of my favorite movies. To me, the best of the three 90 minute Worrick films. A steady but calm pace, a spy movie with no car chases, guns, car crashes or even anyone running. The director/writer and Bill Nighy and Rachel Weist just eat this film up, a perfect pairing.

Grew up watching this. No other show like it. Bond's gadgets, smooth rapport between the two leads, great bad guys especially the little person. Panache. Interesting stories. Fun disguises. Always looked forward to the next week's episode.
