Seriously? This was one of the worst films I have ever seen. If I had not known that it was made in 2000, I would have sworn that it was a film made in the 1950s. With the stupid crescendo music in the background clamoring endlessly, and the supremely over the top BAD acting by ALL, I can only ask again: Seriously???

Corny and boring I really wish someone would make a film about life for black men in America in 2020! How the attitudes toward people of color have not changed that much.

Beautifully and artistically rendered, this movie has been tragically underrated. I have yet to read a review by a man that is not loaded with cynicism and plain ignorance about Mary Magdalene. Has everyone just conveniently forgotten that in 2016 the Vatican declared Mary the Apostle of the apostles? This is clearly stated at the end of the movie. This movie will someday be seen as prescient.
