“People claim technology as an existential threat, it’s not about the technology being the existential threat, it’s the technologys ability to bring out the worst in society and the worst in society being the existential threat” And honestly, this is what scares me. Where people end up refusing to listen to each other, where people refuse to find common ground and accept differences. Where people are believing in fake news instead of the truth because in the end, the truth is boring. our beauty standards are based on what we see on social media, but people often disregard the fact that those beautiful faces are mostly photoshopped. People are turning into plastic/cosmetic surgery so they can look like those influencers. People are developing eating disorders so they can have a small waist when often, it’s not real. It really scares me what the world would be in 10-20 years if they don’t implement any regulations .
