I feel like the 47 yr time span was way too much. Also the fact that chul-soo doesnt age was a rlly weird concept. They should have made the time span 10 yrs so they could still use the same characters without making it seem too unrealistic, while also giving the viewers what they want. If suni loved chul-soo so much she would have been ready to take him with her or at least give him a better place to stay. after waiting for so long, he deserved so much more, but all he got was a goodbye all over again. It would have been interesting if the movie went like this: suni and her family move houses and suni finds a good job as a teacher in the city. ten years later, she has her own settlement and is actually engaged bc she doubts she'll meet chul-soo again. However, one day, her fiancee takes her to the mountains near her old house and suni cant help but visit the house. As her and her partner lay down to sleep, she hears noises coming from the cabin. She goes to check on the noises and finds chul-soo still waiting for her. She leaves everything for chul-soo and runs away with him to the city. it would be cute to see scenes of chul-soo amazed by the city and newer technology. besides the ending, the whole movie was great
