DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. This is the first game ive purchased from the series since NHL17. I got a good deal on it so I ignored the bad reviews and assumed this would at least be an improvement on 17. I couldnt be more wrong. There are some minor improvements to the off-ice elements, but its like putting makeup on a pig. On the ice its the worst NHL game ive played in at least 10 yrs. No one cares about the off-ice improvements when the actual on-ice gameplay is this bad. I've not played online, but i imagine theres not much of a difference. Fix the damn gameplay, EA. How can the AI be this bad? Why is there a pin on the boards every 10 seconds? Why do my AI teammates turn back 3 times before they finally break out of the D-zone? Why do my AI teammates love scoring on their own net? The list goes on... Either fix the gameplay issues or end the series. People wont buy this trash for much longer.
