Pacing was an issue. 8 episodes to tell that story was not enough. A lot of information was skipped and some storylines ended up incomplete. However, it captured the world and the characters. The casting is superb. The scenery is amazing. The nods to the books are fantastic. I recommend. Note: episodes 1-3 are a bit confusing. After 4 the series really picks up.
