I loved some of Mel Brooks work, especially The Producers, but this was truly woeful. It is a series of bad dad jokes, badly directed, badly acted and there is simply nothing funny about any of it. Feldman may look the part of Igor, but the Cockney accent and the asides to the audience don't work. It's a classic case of the writing, the directing and the acting all trying hard to telegraph "funny", in the way of a kid's pantomime, rather than true humour, which often comes from playing an absurd situation straight. Some if it just doesn't work on any level - such as having a horse neighing every time a character's name is mentioned - but no reason why any of this is happening or supposed to be funny. A huge disappointment.
