I love it and hate it all at the same time. I personally love that they casted Rene. I know someone complained about hiring a skinny woman to do the role in a suite as offensive. If you feel this way you seriously need to get over how stupid sensitive you are over something so stupid and learn the definition of offensive. The director obviously chose Rene like many do based on their skills, attitude, and how they saw the role they wanted to portray and who can fill it best with all they want out of it. Natural mannerisms plus skills of acting to adjust when needed and she does it well. Her body size don't matter. Plenty of people get roles who aren't overweight or underweight and gain or lose to fit that role or they get fit for a role that needs that. You don't gotta go hire overweight people to fill a role just to make what one in a million people not feel its offensive. That is that "woke" whiner coming out. Rene was amazing, i love the show, it does start out slow. I love Betsy while she is around, amazing actress and have always loved her. She is so sweet you just feel for her instantly. Rene you hate her and she irritates you so bad in this cause you are like how does anyone not see Russ wasn't guilty and she was. But things do happen in real life like that sometimes lets be honesty. But you just can't stop watching. I do hate that i only get to watch one episode on Hulu instead of just watching it all the way through a season. But i have to say i love the narrator add in. I think its set up quite nicely how they are giving it, the only thing i wish they would do is make the series longer, not skip out on big pieces. You get from one episode to the next and its like you have missed 2 year or 2 big chucks of the story and fast forward on it. I just wish it was slown down and more detail given and played out than it is. Each episode is leaving so much out of the true story and skipping over a lot to, it doesn't do the true story justice nor the series. It would be better if they found a way to extend that. People could get more clued in on the full story.
I honestly just couldn't wait for them to nail her to the murder. It kept me pissed but wanting to watch it each week more and more.
