I saw the movie with an open mind ; ie not expecting too much . It turned out to be a beautiful concoction of emotions , laying bare family ties and disagreements . The protagonist is understated yet natural in her reactions ( eg. The hotel concierge who insists on talking way too much and asking too many questions ). The nuances are all there , and it was interesting to see the many parallels with Indian culture . As they say , emotions bind us all together and death is the only constant .
