It’s a good game. FromSoft has both created and perfected the soulslike genre, and there is nothing like it. However, newer soulslikes titles from other devs have definitely been able to improve on older FS titles like DeS and DS1-3. ER is still GOAT though. As far as soulslikes go, LotF23 is my favorite game behind Lies of P. I started my first character as the Condemned class (hard mode; equivalent of Deprived and Wretch) and I’m honestly struggling from zone to zone and each boss battle. Although, I do refuse to “beckon” any NPC summons and prefer to complete each fight solely alone. The game is not perfect, the movement is quite floaty, and the melee attack animations carry too much forward momentum for my liking. This makes the combat feel noticeably less grounded than previous FromSoft titles and Lies of P. Also, many of the mobs are quite tightly packed together so you often find yourself completely surrounded in gank fights. All in all, the art style is quite attractive, the combat remains fun, the game is keeping me on my toes and that challenge keeps me going. I definitely recommend this game to anyone that enjoys the Soulslike genre. It’s good, not great, but a step in the right direction.

I’ve never played Remnant: From the Ashes. I’m naturally a big fan of Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, and some other souls likes and knockoffs. As a fan of shooters, Remnant 2 appealed to me. I just took the risk and purchased it. This game is amazing. In my opinion, it definitely deserves 5/5 Stars. One of the most unforgettable releases this year. Easily.

I really loved Breath of the Wild. The Legend of Zelda is my favorite IP of all time. If I compared individual titles though, I preferred Witcher 3 and Ghost of Tsushima. Now, Tears of the Kingdom took every single thing that we all loved about Breath and truly made it better. Tears is undoubtedly, my favorite video game of all time, and I haven’t even beat it yet. This game is absolutely phenomenal. There is not one single complaint that I have about this game. This is amazing. My largest issue with Breath was that all of the “dungeons/temples” felt the same. This is no longer an issue. At all. I love how creative you can be and think of so many ways to traverse an obstacle or a reach and area or complete a shrine or a puzzle. I can’t get enough of this damn game. 11/10

I’ve got an XSX and a Switch, recently decided to pick up a PS5 specifically for the exclusive titles. I beat TLoU(PS5) and immediately started GoT. This game is nothing short of incredible, I’m 12 hours in and haven’t done many of the main story missions because there is so much exploring and points of interest and side quests to do. The scenery and environment is detailed and beautiful. The weather effects are so dynamic and believable. I don’t usually like stealth games, I just don’t have the patience for them. Ghost of Tsushima let’s you play anyway you want. Though, I recommend engaging from stealth to thin the herd of enemies and then go in blades swinging. The combo at is refined and the animations are dramatic. This is not a game where you can get through it by smashing buttons. All combat buttons need to be pressed with purpose,and precision. Each time I unlock a new armor set for Jin I feel like such a badass. Incredible. 10/10, planning to 100% it.

I all honesty, I’d easily give this game a 5/5 had it not been for the “they/them, non-binary, gender-neutral, transgender” story characters and character creation and customization options. and the fact that the four DLCs were quite short an underwhelming. Other than that, the story itself is funny, the gameplay and gunplay are exciting. Awesome game, love how you can multiclass and the dark fantasy aesthetic is perfect. Love this game. Wish I had more friends that like Borderlands games.

I’ll start by addressing that I’m not and never have been a die-hard Harry Potter fan, growing up I only completed the first two books. I’ve always appreciated the IP, but I’ve never been terribly into the books or the movies. That being said, I initially wasn’t paying too much attention to the game prior to its release, until last week I heard that the formula plays almost identical to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, my favorite single player game of all time. Now that piqued my interest, so I took a shot in the dark and I even pre-ordered the game. Now, I haven’t been able to put the game down in three days, I’m 18 hours into my first play through and I can assure you that this game is almost identical to the design of TW3, but with some BotW and even Uncharted feel to it, but of course in the Wizarding World. This game is a complete and total hit, from environment design, to characters and voice acting, dialogue options, the amount of gear, the quests, this game is absolutely unbelievable and unforgettable through and through. This game has MADE me love Harry Potter more than ever before. 10/10, knocked out of the park. Any absurdly low reviews you may have read are completely related to the fact that a number of individuals are upset with JKR’s tweets about transgenderism and the bs that Wizarding World is antisemitic because the Goblins control the banks and Goblins have large noses is reaching, and an antisemitic statement in and of itself. Do yourself a favor, don’t drown in this neo-PC nonsense and just give the game a try, you won’t regret it. Masterpiece.

5/5 Stars, 10/10, 2 Thumbs up. The Legend of Zelda is my favorite IP of all time, I even have a Majora’s Mask tattoo… but absolutely nothing comes close to the absolute masterpiece that is TW3. This game is the cat’s meow. Words cannot describe this legendary title. Everyone needs to play this.

The first thing that I want to state, is that all of these negative reviews on the game are total bombs. People are mad about two “issues” that have absolutely nothing at all to do with the design, playability, or experience of the game itself whatsoever. Many are irritated by the fact that Activision/Blizzard require a post-paid phone number to play, this decision was made to stop cheaters, hackers, and Smurf accounts. This isn’t to discriminate lower income households or to obtain personal information from anyone, it’s to create a less toxic gaming community. MW2 is using the same structure. The second thing people are mad about is that the account merge from OW1 to OW2 is taking longer than expected. Yes, of course it is, this is the launch week of a AAA title. As for the game itself, Overwatch is absolutely amazing, and always has been. This title remains one of my absolute favorite shooters I’ve ever played. I don’t think that enough changes from OW1 have been made for me to give the game 5 stars, but only time will tell. I hope this helps.

I initially played D2 on my PS4 on launch day. Upon release, I was thoroughly unimpressed. The game felt identical to the predecessor, leaving me completely uninterested and unmotivated to grind from scratch all over again. Fast forward to 2021, and after hearing that the current expansion, Beyond Light is on Xbox GamePass and optimized for the Series X & S, I decided to give it a try. I started playing the last week of July and I have not put the game down since. I’ve introduced the game to several of my closest friends and we’ve had some of the greatest gaming nights in years. I now have three characters at pinnacle cap and I am constantly striving to be better and tackle more difficult content. After many updates, DLCs, and expansions I can promise you that Destiny 2 is truly a masterpiece.
