If you watched 2/3 of the film ( as I did) whilst breaking off briefly to watch the BBC TV Newsnight show on 11th Jan 2022 and the ongoing political drama of a government led by someone (Prime Minister Boris Johnson) for whom part truths are common currency, the background to the Iraq war is entirely in keeping with this approach to political leadership. A powerful film, with excellent acting, creating as many questions as answers, particularly as to how you get at the truth, even in a democracy.
