Still my all time FAVORITE 80s movie!!! The cast, direction, and performances were unbelievable and unsurpassed. From what I remember, this was Lawrence Kasdin's first solo project after his co-production from Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The film noir dialogue between Danson, Hurt, Turner, Preston, and Crenna helps me appreciate my parents's understanding of classic 30s and 40s films.
I eventually bought the DVD so I can go back to catch every single subtle movement, word, and expression. Kasdin is a GENIOUS.
I'm so grateful I was able to watch Kasdin's work.
The sex scenes between Hurt and Turner are still pretty steamy by today's standards. Most people that watch this movie don't recognize that Lowenstein's character was portrayed by Ted Danson from Cheers.
My God, can someone in Hollywood PLEASE start making movies like this again?!?!? ๐ญ๐ฌ๐๐โ๏ธ๐ช
