Once you get past the nostalgia from NCAA games and really look at this game you realize...it is a pile of excrement.
Bare, horrific AI, defense is useless, every game is 60-70.
EA is garbage. A billion dollar company plays you people like fools every year.
Never again.

I am not an EA fanboy. At all. In fact, I'll publicly say that EA's dropoff in quality starting in the early 2010's is pitiful. They sacrificed commitment to each sport in favor of profit.
With that said, I really enjoy the on-field play. I'm an offline Franchise player and I think it's a noticeable upgrade from the past few iterations.

Unlike EA Sports, MLB the Show actually captures the sport it emulates. Could it be better? Sure. However, this games deficiencies pale in comparison to other sports gaming companies.
The last 3 iterations, I have played The Show all the way up to the following release and I expect the same from this one. 9/10. Don't listen to the haters, they'll be grumpy no matter what.
