Entertainment is subjective ....
and without diving into spoiler territory....
I’m only have a little bit to go until my brother finishes this game while I multitask as he labors though,
but thus far (IMO):
using a simple comparison to The red wedding, an event which served a major narrative purpose and concluded 2 major character arks however cruel and unexpected those endings May have been.
the red wedding was emotionally moving and the consequences of the event forced understandably appropriate changes in major character development/trajectory and ultimately the consequences of that event lead to a delayed but satisfying pay off for the emotionally invest readers and viewers
I’m not seeing that same kind of essential Development the events of this game should deliver and in turn its not giving me the satisfaction needed as a gamer.
Yes as the medium video games are similar to novels, tv and comics ... however; games have to deliver a sense of satisfaction that their cousins do not Necessarily have to (IE: ME3 vs John Carpenters: The Thing)
