My baby boomer wife and I both liked Booksmart a lot. I related strongly to the super-nerd woman--some things never change. The fumbling relationship awkwardness that most of us remember well came across genuinely. The beauty, and sometimes ugliness of intense female friendships was also well done. I liked the writers and director's intelligence in their (mostly) not going for a sappy cliche happy ending, but still leaving a good feeling.
