This book should be read by every voting person in Australia to find out just what sort of people we have running this country. Richard Beasley, a lawyer, explains what has happened and how, in very plain and very descriptive language, the illegalities, the mismanagement, the lies and and manipulations of science by the MDBA, the dishonest methods used to twist the laws around to suit the agenda are all beyond belief. One has to wonder what their motivation is, and what the decision makers are personally getting out of being a part of willingly killing a 2500km long eco system. It has to be corruption at its worst. The book left me wondering what would you call people who knowingly and willingly, (despite their having, and knowing, all the backed up science and evidence) continue to damage and degrade our environment, our fish, birdlife, and native wildlife. Not to forget the damage that the small communities and people who live along and rely on the Darling Barka for a living have suffered so that a few large, greedy, and often multi international foreign companies can make a few more dollars. In my opinion, I think they are traitors to this country and they should be treated as such. I had a lot of trouble putting this book down, reading page by page not being able to wait to find out the next truth of what has and still is happening under the authority of both our National and State Governments. I have no doubt that everyone who cares about this country who reads this book will be outraged, flabbergasted and very angry at what has been hidden away from them by our so called leaders. It's no wonder their trust is gone. I commend Richard Beasley for having the courage to write this book exposing those who need to be exposed. Highly recommended reading.
