I'll start by saying I love pokemon and have been playing ever since they first came out. Every rendition has its changes and tweaks that make it unique to the other games and have a special place in the gamer library. This edition, being no different, also has those same changes and while I can get on board simply for the sake of the gameplay experience, there seems to be an excess of fluff or bland content and forgettable storytelling that overshadowed the greatness of the open world aspect. I wont get into the specifics as not to spoil it for someone who wants to make up their own mind, but my reasoning for 2 out of 5 stars is not a 1 only because of my own nostalgia. I will say that I only experience small and inconsequential glitches or bugs so thats a plus but it looks as though the dev team is grasping at straws for ideas in storytelling 🤷

Effects were great and had a good cast, but the script....lacks depth and logic. There are too many questions associated with almost every scene. The artemis fowl books are on par with the Harry Potter books series and have(or had at this point I guess) the potential to be the next big movie franchise, but this "movie" was too rushed and lacked depth of the key characters to live up to the hype that the books provide. I'd give half a star, but I cant.😥 I didnt think it was possible but it's worse than the last airbender movie, and the eragon movie...
