I bought the book in 1975 when it was first released and I could not put it down. I've read it several times since. It is an amazing beautiful story. I am loving the Disney Plus episodes and I can't wait for the next one.

An achingly heartbreaking story. What's not to love? I have seen this movie so times and saw it with my parents (I was a teenager) when it was playing at the Royal Theater in Trail, BC. Every time I watch it, I am left with an aching broken heart. . . . and I am no longer a teenager.
