I watched this 03/08/2024 and I already want to go watch it again.
As I've told my friends, the first one will always be iconic, but this one is straight up gas.
It's outrageous from start to finish. I'm not just talking about the humour or action sequences or 4th wall breaks or even the level of gore, the easter eggs, the blatant disregard for peoples' feelings on certain subjects, but everything, but it's done in such a funny and tongue in cheek way. There are also sooo many cameos.
This is everything you want in a Deadpool movie, chaos, action and humour.
Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool, it's difficult not to associate him with that character now, just like RDJ and Iron Man. Hugh Jackman was fantastic as Wolverine yet again.
If you're looking for a Marvel movie where the story makes sense, then this might not be for you, but if you're looking for a Marvel movie that makes you laugh, has gratuitous violence and funny shock values, then this will be for you.
If anything this should hopefully show Disney that a 15+ rating in these types of movies can work and it doesn't have to follow the formula they usually do of playing it safe all the time.
