Before we go through this novel let's have a small peep on the title of this novel"PoKHRAN"
Pokhran is a village located in the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan where India's first underground nuclear weapon test took place in 18 May 1974.
The story begins with the INDIA first nuclear missiles test "Smiling Buddha".We all know about nuclear weapon tests but only a few people know about the aftermath effects. Many people got affected in and around the area of Pokhran where the nuclear test took place. The novel contains a story of a young boy named Chaitanya, he got affected by the radiation left by the detonation of the nuclear weapon and was born without hands and legs. He lost her mother just after his birth. After his mother's death, his sister and his father takes all his responsibilities. Chaitanya's life was very tough but because of his family assistance he able to achieve his objective.
The novel includes various other characters like Zara, Devyani, Samjeet, Paramjeet.
Language use is very lucid, easy to understand. I recommend you to read this amazing novel.
