It seems that each visionary in human history meets with every kind of criticism and resistance. Frustrating for the great thinkers and a loss for humans, especially when these brilliant ideas, ones that have planetary implications, are thwarted. Simard’s experiences remind me of Dr. Maria Montessori’s plight when presenting her likewise research-based method of education. Schools that actually teach and promote peace. Who needs that, right? And forests, clean air, and water? Finding the Mother Tree is thoughtful, loving, and full of fascinating science, yet reads like a novel. A must read!
