I can't stress enough why this is a must play playstation exclusive. You can read how good it is from other reviewers. My favourite thing about this game is the Father and son relationship between the two main characters and how it develops over the course of the game. Their relationship experiences all kinds of tension via the different stressful situations they must go through to accomplish their goal. The game is full of conversations between them that give us a glimpse of their character and how it develops. Kratos has really matured and is definitely a different creature, the old Kratos is still there but not as dominant, which I'm glad for. The old angry Kratos was getting quite boring so this new take is quite refreshing. It is like reading or watching a really good book or movie. It must be experienced to be appreciated.

This is a must play for lovers of JRPGs and IMO the best of the "Tales of" series. I tried Vesperia and it just felt like a chore to play. Abyss and Symphonia tie in 2nd place. What the game does right is that it makes the game fun!! The characters back story and voice acting is just so on point. Great engaging combat, quick travel, fun activities, food is simplified and camps feel essential but not like a chore. The story is also engaging enough to keep me playing till the end. My favourite thing about this game is that it has a strong and kind lead character who I found very refreshing. His relationships with his team develop over the course of the game in a way that doesn't feel forced. Overall it was very refreshing and fun to play.

One of the best open world games I've played including the DLC. I absolutely love the main story + how the side stories tie in to it. Jin also develops as a character and isn't the same person by the end. I guess he just grows in maturity. The combat is also super fun. You feel both powerful and vulnerable at the same time; almost like a glass cannon. Loads of ways to kill your enemies too. Loads super fast: I mean it takes around 5 seconds to quick travel...it's super fast. Worth it! I absolutely loved playing it: from beginning to end.
