Sadly it is too clearly something from the "brain" of Joss Whedon.... tired overblown derivative boring. Yes there are female characters, but you sort of get the feeling they are there because Whedon wanted to have a bevy of young attractive women around him for all the wrong reasons. Which recent events seem to have proved correct. Maybe not as loathsome as Dollhouse - was very bad very boring VERY sexist porn which Whedon seemed to think he could say was Feminist. Yuck all round. These actors deserve better.
