Troy Bush

Truly one of the most infuriating experiences I’ve ever sat through. There are so many things that don’t make any sense, the direction is nonexistent, the acting is atrocious, every piece of music is forced, the characters are so unlikable I was happy to see them suffer, and every line of dialogue made me want to pull out my hair. And it doesn’t help that Adam Green is a liar and a braggart.

This was good... I think. I enjoyed this movie for personal reasons, but I don't know if I would call it objectively good. I like contained science fiction. I like unique visual styles. I love synth music; I should mention this is one of the movie's biggest strengths! I love wordless storytelling. You do care about the main character. You want to see her escape. And the cinematography is very well done. Plus, you can tell this was made by someone who loves movies. The performances were okay. As for the flaws, I felt there were lines of dialogue that didn't need to be there, and there are things that were established and then forgotten about soon after. Also, the movie lacks in plot and pacing. Ultimately, it is a style over substance movie, but I think it has enough going for it where that is forgivable.

Will Smith is the only redeeming quality, and I don’t think I have to explain to you why. My eyes bled from the choppy action and my ears bled from the dreadful dialogue. I absolutely cannot stand Marcus. He is undoubtedly one of the most unlikable characters EVER!!!!
